Amenities:

All of our villas and apartments are fully furnished and equipped. The kitchens have a dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas stove/electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, dishes, pots, pans & all utensils. The living rooms offer a flat-screen television and DVD player. Central heating is available in the three-bedroom apartments/villas. All properties are serviced once a week.

Pool heating is €250 per week (where applicable).

A week before your arrival you will receive an e-mail with house details (location and how to get the keys) and instructions to pay the safety deposit so you will be asked to provide your email

Uniquely located in the heart of Europe’s last great wilderness, the Peneda-Geres National Park, this delightful charming villa with a private swimming pool overlooks the river Cávado and the peaceful Caniçada dam.

Among the breathtaking forests, are the translucent cascading waters and the unforgettable sights. Gerês is one of Portugal’s more attractive Natural Regions, considered by UNESCO to be a World Biosphere Reserve.
The villa has a lovely atmosphere and displays a pleasing range of carefully chosen furnishings to provide comfort for guests. It is set within a private walled garden where a stylish private swimming pool was recently added. A comfortable sitting room opens onto a shaded terrace overlooking the pool, with a table and chairs perfect for outside eating.

This property is set on a private condominium of around 4 hectares of land surrounded by protected land due to the environmental interest of this location. Besides the villa, private garden and swimming pool, guests have the right to use the communal facilities including a large swimming pool and large lawns with with panoramic views.

Various activities can be enjoyed due to the natural setting with nature activities such as fishing, canoeing, water sports and hiking.

The Cavado River, with its clear, clean water, is about a 7-minute walk from the villa. There is a restaurant in the nearby village centre (about 1,600 metres away) which produces good local food. Other facilities in this location include a cafe/bar and minimarket. The larger and historic village of Vieira do Minho is only 4 km. away.

Situated in Albufeira do Ermal (Santa Marta – Rossas) and approximately 10 km from the villa, Ermal Cable Park is a teleski cable wake park offering a wide range of skis: mono-ski; biped-ski; or ski with a plank as well as a boat to transport people who may fall along the way.

Accommodation (a two-storey house):

Ground floor: Well-equipped kitchen opening onto a very spacious terrace with a barbecue area including bread/pizza oven. Guest toilet, living area with comfortable seating and sat TV, dining area with table seating up to 8 people and doors opening onto a large terrace with superb uninterrupted views overlooking the Cavado river valley. Laundry room with washing machine.

First floor: Master double with ensuite shower room and doors opening onto a balcony with superb views over the valley. Another double bedroom with a door opening onto the same balcony. Third bedroom with double bed. The shower room is to be shared by bedrooms 2 and 3.

Exterior: Private swimming pool (10 metres long and 5 metres wide). Poolside shower. Large built-in BBQ area and terrace with table and chairs for outdoor dining.

The views from the terrace and house are outstanding.

Due to the private setting and excellent internet connection, this property is also suitable for long-term/remote work rentals.

Set in an elevated position with immaculate sea views, this superb-designed holiday villa is ideal for holidaymakers seeking privacy and high-quality accommodation.

Extremely easy to reach (only a 50-minute drive from Porto International Airport) this villa is situated 4 km away from the white sandy beaches of Caminha, a charming traditional Portuguese fortified border town steeped in history, where several battles were fought between Portugal and Spain. Nowadays, this town enjoys much more friendly relations with its neighbour and there is a daily ferry boat linking the two banks of the river. Standing on a tiny island in the middle of the estuary are the ruins of the fort of Ínsua, built to defend the entrance to the river in the fifteenth century.

The sands of Vila Praia de Âncora (10 minutes away from the villa) extend from the fishing port over to the Âncora river which reaches the coast here after its 15-kilometre descent through the Serra de Arga hills, an attractive natural environment, which features some good walking conditions. This enormous beach experiences some strong Atlantic waves which means high-quality surfing. This town is also famous for the variety of good seafood and fresh fish restaurants.

Extra services are available on request such as Chef for traditional Portuguese cuisine, winetasting courses, masseur, beautician, organisation of guided tours to nearby attractions with stops in typical places and local olive oil and wine tasting, horse riding, golf, water sports, etc.
